Some of our Year 3's and Year 5's went to St Chad's to decorate a Christmas tree for their Christmas Tree Festival which will run from 1st December until 4th January.  They had a lovely time and we think our tree looks wonderful!

Our BizKids have been overwhelmed by the support they have received whilst raising money for St Luke's.  We raised £300 just from the fundraising event after school on 16th February!

The full total raised was £1,362.17 and we would like to thank everyone for their fantastic support.

The BizKids enjoyed presenting the cheque to a panel of business managers and the St Luke's team.  At the presentation, they had the chance to tell the panel about what they have done and what they have learnt by taking part in the BizKids project.

October 2016

We are very pleased and excited to announce that we have been shortlisted, along with two other projects in our region, for a public vote in Tesco's Bags of Help initiative!

Tesco has teamed up with Groundwork on its Bags of Help initiative in hundreds of regions across England and Wales.  The scheme will see three community groups and projects in each of these regions awarded grants of £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 - all raised from the 5p bag charge.  We are very excited that our school has been chosen as one of the three projects in our region!

We were thrilled when The Star newspaper wrote an article all about our recent Ofsted report!  We are very pleased and proud to be a 'Good' school!  Click on the logo opposite to read the article.

Bags of Help offers community groups and projects in each of Tesco's 416 regions across the UK a share of revenue generated from the 5p charge levied on single-use carrier bags.  The public will now vote in store from 31st October to 13th November 2016 on who should receive the above awards.  In total, there is over £12.5 million up for grabs.

Please vote for us in Tesco stores between 31st October and 13th November to help us win the top prize!

Our Year 6's were in The Star today!  Our school was the first to sign up for The Star's Reading Project 2016 which gives children in Key Stage 2 the chance to learn about Sheffield and improve their literacy skills through the newspapers news pages.  Pupils receive their own Reading Passport activity book and a copy of The Star delivered to school once a week for six weeks.  The children are then challenged with a series of fun and educational activities in the passport booklet, which will help them develop a wide range of skills as they explore the people, places and events that shape the world around them.
